Questions About Your Scottish
Laird Title
We have included below some of the most common questions asked
by our land owners, please contact us using our contact form if
you need further information on any point, or have a question
not covered below
Q. Will I
really own the land?
A. Yes, the offer is completely
genuine and legal. You will have full ownership of the land, confirmed
by your title deed documents. These documents have been drawn
up by a Scottish lawyer to ensure that they fully comply with
Scottish law.
Q. Can I visit the land to see
my plot?
A. Yes, you will receive full access
information on the location of the land plots
and you are free to
visit your land at any time.
Q. Is the offer only available
to people of Scottish descent?
A. No, anyone can participate in
our project, Scottish ancestry or background is not required. We
have many plot owners in the USA, Europe and
Australia.
Q. Can I change my name on
official documents such as passports, bank accounts and driving
licence?
A. It may be possible to do
this. However, we
can't guarantee that other organisations will agree to any
changes. We would recommend that you contact these agencies
directly before your order is placed to discuss this point if
it is an important aspect of your land ownership.
Q. What title can be used by a
lady?
A. The term
"Laird" is a traditional Scottish term for an owner of land in
Scotland, so the title can apply equally to men or women.
However, some customers request that the term "Lady" is used in
place of "Laird" and we are happy to do this if
requested.
Q. Are there any taxes to pay
on my land?
A. No, you will not be liabe for
and land taxes on your land
plot. Your only cost
is the initial purchase price.
